Properties of Hydrophilic Silicone Oil

2021-08-10

Hydrophilic Silicone Oil is a light yellow transparent oil, a kind of active Silicone Oil, is a new fabric finishing agent. It is soluble in water and can be used alone in an aqueous solution. It can be used in finishing bath or resin finishing working bath. The working bath is stable, does not break milk, does not float oil. All kinds of fiber fabrics, such as polyester, nylon, cotton, polyester cotton, wool, rayon and other synthetic fiber and natural fiber fabrics, can significantly improve the feel of the fabric, antistatic, hydrophilic, washing resistance and stain resistance, ionic properties: non-ionic.
Hydrophilicity of Silicone Oil: a hydrophilic group of molecules with polar groups that have a high affinity for water that can attract water molecules or dissolve in water. The surface of a solid material formed by these molecules is easily wet by water. Hydrophilicity refers to the physical properties of molecules that are able to form transient bonds with water through hydrogen bonding. Due to its thermodynamic applicability, the molecule can be dissolved not only in water but also in other polar solutions. A hydrophilic molecule or part of a molecule that can be polarized to form hydrogen bonds and is more soluble in water for use in oil or other hydrophobic solutions. Hydrophilic and hydrophobic molecules may also be called polar and non-polar molecules, respectively. Soap has hydrophilic and hydrophobic ends and is therefore soluble in water or oil. Thus, soap can remove the interface between water and oil. The material has an affinity for water. Metal sheets such as chromium, aluminum, zinc and their hydroxides, as well as materials with capillary phenomenon have good hydrophilic effect.
The characteristics of Hydrophilic Silicone Oil: it provides soft, smooth and even feel for the fabric. Enhance the tear strength and wrinkle resistance of the fabric. Improves the elasticity of the fabric. Washable and dry-cleaned. It is easy to emulsify and can be made into stable microemulsion. Compatible with most organic softeners and other textile auxiliaries.
